Probiotics

We offer an accurate identification of your probiotic strain through high quality whole genome sequencing by PacBio. The genome is annotated using Pathosystems Resource Integration Center (PATRIC). Then a phylogenic tree based on the whole genome sequence comparing your strain to the species type strain confirming the strain's identity is provided.

The safety assessment includes antibiotic resistance profile using minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) and genome screening, lack of toxigenic activity, virulence and pathogenic factors and antibiotic production. 

We will help you with your strain characterization projects such as gastric acid and bile resistance testing using TIM or SHIME, phage identification or any additional characterization needs.
